We are staying at Silver Lake City motorhome park at Europa Park. The Silver Lake City motorhome and camping resort has a central theme of the Wild West.
The Wild West Central Village offers a couple of stores for camping supplies, play areas for children, bars for adults, ice cream shops, shower facilities, washing up facilities – this place is the bees knees.
We walked to the Rust-Bus bus stop where we caught a green bus that takes 15 minutes to get to Rulantica Waterpark. The bus is free and super easy. It’s only a two minute walk from the Central hub of The Wild West (amazingly easy).
The bus takes you to Rulantica. The walk up to the main entrance has plenty to see. We came in mid September, so they had lots of Halloween decorations out. The pathways were filled with pumpkins, skeletons and scary witches.
Entering Rulantica, there was no queue and the reception attendant didn’t understand me speaking German, so spoke fluent English to me – which helped a lot.
As we were entering the park with A-12 and H-9 we decided to get a Central location as a base. So we stayed in front of the wave pool with some conveniently laid out deck chairs.
This area offered the kids a lot of entertainment quite close to where we were sitting. This meant that L and I could sit down and enjoy a coffee or two without worrying about the kids. There were so many lifeguards and attendants we felt our kids were very safe.
In this area where we had secured our deck chairs, it had a wave pool, inflatable net bridge, four easy 20 m slides designed for two years old and up. L and I enjoyed a tactical coffee while the kids explored.
We later decided to explore some of the bigger rides. This park has some real monster rides, some tandem and two four-person rides. We rode them all and my nine-year-old was a little bit sensitive about the two bigger ones, but after riding them, she absolutely love them and returned to do them again.
We explored outdoors where they had a swim up bar where you can get drinks and alcohol. It was a little rainy when we went so we blasted all the slides outside which were for six and up and ducked back inside again.
The lazy river was very enjoyable and not overcrowded, the waiting times were so small that we barely waited over 10 minutes for a ride.
Our favourite ride was the racing slalom where eight people race together and you can see your opponents at various points going down the slide. This ride was almost too thrilling – so epic. The kids and I loved it. L sat that one out due to contact lenses issues.
We did take a crafty packed lunch in and we found a quiet spot to eat it. We felt a little self-conscious, but we didn’t over promote it.
We ended the day with a couple of ice creams from the counter. These were delicious as you can pick your three toppings.
Overall, a five star day, this place is amazing. It’s clean, well kept, safe, well run, and most importantly, super fun for all the family. We would certainly come back here again in the not too distant future.

- Use the Motorhome park cassette cleaning facilities (if you have a Motorhome).
- Download the app.
- Take a packed lunch to save money.
- Check out the queue time display and switch queues to find shorter waiting times.
- Don’t buy four drinks if you have kids as they can’t drink them all in one go and you only get one refill. Get 2 instead and share and fill it all the way to the top. 
- Wear flip-flops between rides to save your feet taking on the hard floor – there are plenty of storage units around four bags and flip-flops.
- Don’t wear any jewellery around your neck – you will have to take it off at the top of some rides and then re-walk up the stairs to get it.
- Inside Rulantica is very hot so take lots of fluids.
